Frequently asked questions

Trial and buying

What does the free trial include?

30 days with every feature of the Agency license, including white-label exports, limited to 5 crawls, 5 speed tests and 2 site migrations. One trial per computer. When it ends, your projects stay in the app and you can still open and export them; starting new work needs a license.

Do I need a card or an account for the trial?

No. Download the app, accept the license agreement and the trial starts. It needs an internet connection once.

Is it really a one-time payment?

Yes. Solo is $219 and Agency is $649 (you can pay in US dollars, British pounds or euros), plus sales tax where it applies. There is no subscription. Updates are included for 12 months; renewing them later is optional and never automatic.

Who processes the payment?

Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the payment, sales tax, invoices and refunds.

Can I buy from outside the United States?

Not at the moment – O2X – SEO Tool is sold to customers in the United States only.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of purchase. See the Refund Policy.

Licenses and updates

What happens when my 12 months of updates end?

Nothing stops working. You keep using every version released during your update period, forever. To get versions released later, renew updates for 40% of the license price per year.

How do I move the license to a new computer?

Install the app on the new computer and activate your key there. A Solo license deactivates the old computer automatically, so it works even if the old computer broke down. With an Agency license you choose which computer the new one replaces when all 10 are in use. To prevent key sharing, a license can move a limited number of times per month; support can always move it for you.

I lost my license key. What can I do?

Use the key recovery form: it emails every key bought with your email address. The key is also shown, partly masked, in the app under License.

Does the app work offline?

Crawling needs the internet, of course. The license itself is checked every few days and keeps working for up to 30 days without a connection.

Can several people at my agency use one license?

The Agency license covers up to 10 computers used by people of your organisation. The Solo license covers one computer.

White-label

What exactly is white-labelled?

With the Agency license your logo, company details and brand colour head every export (PDF, HTML, Excel, page exports), exported files never mention O2X, the app can show your name and logo, and the desktop shortcut can use your logo. With the Solo license HTML and PDF exports carry a small “Created with O2X” credit.

May I present the reports as my agency’s work?

Yes, with the Agency license. You may not resell or redistribute the software itself.

Data and privacy

Where are my crawls stored?

On your computer, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\O2 SEO Tool. They are never uploaded to us.

What does the license check send?

The license key, a one-way hash of the computer’s id (the raw id never leaves your computer), the computer name, the Windows and app versions, your IP address and, during the trial, how many crawls, speed tests and migrations were used. See the Privacy Policy.

Crawling

Will crawling get my IP address blocked?

O2X crawls politely: it follows robots.txt, offers speed presets, slows down on 429 / 503 responses and pauses as soon as a firewall starts blocking it. For sites behind strict firewalls, ask the owner to whitelist your IP address – the app shows it.

How big a site can it crawl?

There is no URL limit in the license. The pre-flight check estimates the disk space, memory and time a crawl needs and pauses the crawl if your disk or memory runs low.

Does it crawl password-protected staging sites?

Migrations can crawl staging sites with HTTP authentication. The audit detects password-protected sites, checks their robots.txt and server settings and gives a go-live checklist.

Technical

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet – O2X runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

Why does Windows show a SmartScreen warning?

Windows shows it for new applications until they build up a download reputation. Click More info and Run anyway.
